Kindlehill’s Japanese Connection, August 2020

さまざまの事おもひ出す櫻かな

How many, many things

They call to mind

These cherry-blossoms!

We all love the imagination filled cultural experience that Sayoko brings to all the classes in the school. You may not know that there has been another Japanese connection that predates the beginnings of Kindlehill. Prior to Kindlehill renting and then purchasing our premises,  Oki Do Yoga owned the site. At the front of the school, the cherry tree is currently in resplendent bloom, humming with bees, and showering a snow of blossoms in the breeze. The blossoms arch over the entrance torii and the Kindlehill sign. Above the water garden is a Japanese Lantern Tree that quietly transforms itself every season. We offer our gratitude for this precious gift that they bestowed upon us, the unknown recipients.
