Years 7–10 Volleyball Program

Over the past few weeks, volleyball has been an outstanding opportunity for all Year 7–10 students to develop their hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, teamwork, and ability to share and cooperate on the court. The sessions promoted active participation and brought a real sense of enjoyment to each class. Students who attended the Year 7 Orientation Day also joined in, and it was great to see everyone getting involved, sharing the ball, and building positive connections through sport.

A big thank you to our incredible coaches supported by Sporting Schools Australia — their energy and guidance helped boost engagement and ensure all students felt confident to give it a go. We saw noticeable improvement in participation levels, with more students getting on the court, playing with enthusiasm, and supporting one another.

On a related note, I recently visited the Katoomba Sports & Aquatic Centre, where they run a social volleyball competition every Tuesday. It’s a great opportunity for students and community members to get involved, stay active, and continue developing their volleyball skills outside of school.
