Last Thursday evening, Class 6 presented their Big Projects to their family and Friends.
It was a really wonderful evening of the students sharing the things that they are curious about, the activities they feel a deep sense of commitment to, and the ideas that inspire them.
The class 6 Big Project is an important part of student’s preparation for High School. The Primary school cycle culminates in students being able to deepen their understanding and explore their curiosity on a subject of their choosing. They work with mentors in the community and translate their learning into artworks and presentations. As educators we are interested in developing the whole human to care deeply about the world they live in, to feel a wonderful curiosity about those things and to know themselves as learners.
