Fun of the Fair
Our Autumn Fair, Bayumigu -Toward the Music, was truly special. One of those days where our School community works and plays together, thanks to the incredible organisation and creativity of the Class 2 – 3 Fair Team, and the many who baked, sewed, welcomed, washed up and contributed to the activities of the day.
For me, the Fair day exemplifies how the quality of relationships is the most important factor in brain development. Play, spontaneity and creativity; together with a sense of belonging and shared purpose, are the essence of a healthy community growing healthy children.
Re-enlivening our sense of community, post Covid, has been a core intention. Last year within the thematic context of Restore. This year in the thematic context of Murmuration. This is healing for our children, for our collective wellbeing, and is a homeopathic medicine for our planet too!
Kindlehill School is a K-10 Steiner School that sits on a hill above the Wentworth Falls Lake, in the Blue Mountains, NSW. We are an independant school working creatively and in a contemporary way, out of the foundation of Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy for education.
