Science in Kindy, August, 2021

Every week feels like Science Week in Kindy. We watch the changing of the seasons as the blossoms arrive and the daffodils shine in the sun. We are noticing the insects that are slowly returning to the garden; especially the compost and that the garden needs an extra drink during this dry and windy August. The children received clay in their take home packs last week and made insects by adding gum nuts, sticks, feathers, and leaves. Young children are naturally filled with wonder and interest for the world around them. Stop to see what a child sees, and you will never look at an ant or caterpillar in the same way ever again!
