{"id":9516,"date":"2020-08-27T23:59:19","date_gmt":"2020-08-27T12:59:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/khpost.test.pallasmarketing.com\/?p=9516"},"modified":"2020-08-27T23:59:19","modified_gmt":"2020-08-27T12:59:19","slug":"peace-day-hiroshima-day-6th-and-9th-august-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/khpost.test.pallasmarketing.com\/?p=9516","title":{"rendered":"Hiroshima Day, Golden Repair, August 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 6th and 9th of August, 2020 marked the 75th commemoration of the world\u2019s first atomic bombings, on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year, the Kindlehill spirits focused on the theme of &#8216;Golden Repair&#8217;; the much-needed healing for the Earth and humanity. The name &#8216;Golden Repair&#8217; derives from an ancient Japanese artistry called Kin-tsugi. It is a metaphor that our difficulties and scars in life can be repaired to be something stronger and more beautiful. It is also a celebration of imperfection and our resilience for changes in life.<br><br>As the whole school gathered, the Performance Space was filled with joy, warmth and courage through everyone\u2019s singing voice, Haiku poems and a brightly stitched \u201cBanner of our Hope and Beauty\u201d from classes 3 to 6 as well as Kin-tsugi and Ukiyo-e art works from HS.
