{"id":3980,"date":"2018-08-07T14:34:33","date_gmt":"2018-08-07T04:34:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/khpost.test.pallasmarketing.com\/?p=3980"},"modified":"2018-08-07T14:34:33","modified_gmt":"2018-08-07T04:34:33","slug":"truth-with-passion-year-9-10-monologues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/khpost.test.pallasmarketing.com\/?p=3980","title":{"rendered":"Truth With Passion &#8211; Year 9\/10 Monologues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The students wrote and performed original monologues after examining a number of famous speeches and protest songs. settling on a cause, issue, or experience that they wanted to give voice to.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GUINNIE RANDALL \u2013 FAST CAR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Inspired by Tracy Champan\u2019s song, <em>Fast Car, <\/em>Guinnie has looked at the experience of living with an alcoholic parent and has created a pieces with two voices: a daughter talking to her passed out father, and the addiction itself.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NISSA BRENNAN \u2013 WORD OF GOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nissa\u2019s initial starting point was Alex the Astronaut\u2019s song, <em>Not Worth Hiding, <\/em>and her piece became an exploration of what it might be like to be God, dealing with the myriad ideas and viewpoints people attach to religion. In this piece, God speaks to the angels.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OLIVIA WYLDE \u2013 THE ARRIVAL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Inspired by Shaun Tan\u2019s book<em>, The Arrival, <\/em>Olivia has explored some of the experiences of refugees. This piece takes place in three phases and explores her character\u2019s past, present and future.
