{"id":2103,"date":"2015-10-19T09:24:07","date_gmt":"2015-10-18T23:24:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/khpost.test.pallasmarketing.com\/?p=2103"},"modified":"2015-10-19T09:24:07","modified_gmt":"2015-10-18T23:24:07","slug":"school-as-a-community-striving-for-peace-and-reconciliation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/khpost.test.pallasmarketing.com\/?p=2103","title":{"rendered":"SCHOOL AS A COMMUNITY \u2013 STRIVING FOR PEACE AND RECONCILIATION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Friday 30<sup>th<\/sup> October, 7pm (6:45 for chai) in the Performance Space<\/p>\n<p>How can we address the \u201cdisconnect\u201d so prevalent in our times; from ourselves, each other, from nature and the spiritual world?<\/p>\n<p>How can a school, as a community centred around education,\u00a0 begin to read the book of nature, walk pathways of gentleness and generosity, and strive to cooperate powerfully with the divine intentions for our world?<\/p>\n<p>Come and hear more about an exciting and empowering approach to peace making as a school community.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, peace and reconciliation has been the highlighted vision and goals at Kindlehill. This has been implemented within the teaching programmes as well as in the school community through forums, community engagement and school festivals.<\/p>\n<p>Lynn Daniel is a founding teacher and Principal of Kindlehill.\u00a0 She has taught kindy, primary school, high school and in adult education.
