Lockley\u2019s Pylon."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are sitting at Lockley\u2019s Pylon, a pinnacle on the Mount Hay range, you can see wilderness in every direction, everything looks alive.\u00a0 The Grose River winds its way through an enormous valley, held by escarpment and forest on either side. So much forest\u2026<br>\u00a0<br>The words <strong>climate change<\/strong> trigger so much rage in these young folk. There is a sense of being let down, a worry that people don\u2019t care. There is fear. Fear for themselves, but more so I fear for the planet. Rose asks, \u201cWhat happens in 20 years? Will we think of the generations to come? Can we change?\u201d<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Dharug knowledge, we are in the season of Dagara, the cold frosty time (see <a href=\"https:\/\/nsw.us16.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=4fd16fa15a7eac1a3e4e390cb&amp;id=8e68549ab1&amp;e=0ed5202ba6\">Western Sydney Parklands | About the Six Dharug Seasons<\/a>). Black Cockatoo can be heard calling the rain. Their presence also reminds us of the ancestors, the ancestors that are the land.&nbsp; I ask Rose and Piper, \u201cWe will one day be ancestors, we will be back in the land and we need to give something. So, what will it be? Our gift to the future?\u201d<br><br>\u201cStop climate change.\u201d Says Rose.<br><br>\u201cPlant trees, protect the oceans, protest, inform people\u2026make a difference.\u201d They both agree. \u201cWe need get people out here.
