March 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Class 2-3 have spent the first part of the term immersed in the great stories of the Ancient Indian gods, and their relationship to the people \u2013 in devotion \u2013 \u2018I participate with the gods in making a world of order, love, humility, respect; in creating, sustaining and, yes, dissolution as well.\u2019 Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva; Sarasvati, Lakshmi, Parvati; Ganesh, Agni, Yama; Vishnu\u2019s earthly incarnations, including Krishna; the Ramayana\u2026. For good measure, we are following up with stories of Siddhattha during meal times.<br>&nbsp;<br>We were very fortunate to have parents in the class with a vibrant Hindu connection. Samuel brought his friend, Diviyatma, and together they led us in chanting, a fire ceremony and in dance (I think we lifted the roof off the school!). Serena and Sanjaya transformed the classroom into a temple, and we had ceremony, chanted, sang, danced, and ate together!
